My teaching experience has been challenging but rewarding. The school has so much potential to grow. The learners came from fairly different backgrounds that made the schooling environment unique and different. Although many of the students I had taught in my teaching experience had faced difficulties in reading, writing and understanding certain topics taught, I saw a lot of potential and growth, they were eager to learn and improve. By building different types of connections with the learners, I felt like I have learnt a lot from them too. I held extra classes for the students as part of my service learning to help and guide the students to unlock extra skills and improve their skills in topics learnt. My fellow colleagues and other members of staff welcomed me with open arms to their school family and I felt at home. My fellow grade 7 colleagues were like my guardian angels that provided me with valuable support as well guidance throughout my teaching experience. Overall I would say that I have learnt so much from this experience and I will cherish and hold on to what I have learnt and the memories that I have created as a guide for my future classroom and students.
